Tech Arena Challenge 2020
TIKI Safety AB nominated for prestigious innovation award
Techarenan Challenge is a competition for the most innovative companies in the Nordic region. In a year of record competition, TIKI Safety has been nominated for this prestigious award for 2020.
Techarenan Challenge is being organized for the seventh time and is an entrepreneurial competition open to all Swedish and Nordic startups and growth companies, regardless of industry.
The competition is open to all companies that are building on a unique innovation or business idea with the potential for commercialization on a global scale. The companies have been evaluated by an expert jury with a focus on scalability, sustainability and clear growth opportunities.
– “We are honored and proud to be nominated for this prestigious award,” says TIKI Safety CEO Mikael Klockseth. “We know we have a product with great potential, and a product whose development has come at just the right time. An easy-to-use respirator that purifies the air and protects the user according to the highest safety standards.”
During the final of the Techarenan Challenge on November 13, the finalists will present their innovations to this year's jury on site, and panel discussions and news broadcasts will be arranged on the theme of innovation and entrepreneurship. The entire program will be streamed live.
Facts about TIKI breathing mask
TIKI has been developed in Sweden for use in demanding environments with high requirements for protection against airborne particles and bacteria. The respirator is reusable, has a self-regulating fan and is battery-powered. The mask measures the strength of each breath in real time and supplies the air and pressure that the user needs. A major advantage of this mask, which is unique to the TIKI design, is that it provides good visibility and good freedom of movement, since the filter and fan are located at the top of the mask instead of on a belt around the user's waist. The manufacturing takes place in TIKI Safety's factory in Bro, north of Stockholm.
TM3P classification
The TIKI respirator has a TM3P classification and meets the WHO (World Health Organization) requirements for protection class FFP3 or higher by a good margin. To meet the requirements for TM3P classification, the respirator must filter at least 99.95 percent of particles that are 0.3 µm in size. TIKI has been developed to protect against coronavirus, but also protects against other viruses, mold, bacteria, dust, smoke particles, asbestos, etc.
